The Lookout is the result of a passion for food and a desire for a life beside the sea.
We’ve grown from a summer only shabby cafe with plastic blinds and a leaky roof to a fully licensed restaurant that opens all year round and serves amazing food, wines and cocktails while also embracing the concept of serving a good cup of coffee or a pot of tea to those who are just passing by!
Our chefs are passionate about the quality and presentation of the food. Whatever we produce, we guarantee we will use quality ingredients and it will be prepared with love and presented with style.
We pride ourselves on friendly smiley service, a casual relaxed atmosphere and good value well presented food.
We’re a short walk from St Helier, located right beside the beach. Our inside and alfresco seating offers stunning panoramic views of Elizabeth Castle and St Aubins Bay.

We serve breakfast from 9am to 11.30. We don’t take bookings for breakfast so just turn up. We recommend coming early for the come early to avoid the busiest time of 11am to 11.30am.
Lunch starts at 12 weekdays and 12.15 at the weekends.
Dinner starts at 5pm
We take bookings for lunch & dinner. We recommend booking in advance using our online booking servcse. For an excess of 6 people please phone or or .e-mail. Enquiries should be made several days in advance.

WINTER RACLETTE and FONDUE- From October to early April. Pre booking advised for 2 to 25 people. £27.50 per person. Traditional raclette and fondue are popular winter specialities available in addition to our regular menu. Cold meat platter (or vegetarian alternatives) steaming potatoes, fresh salad, gherkins, onions and crusty bread with a wedge of genuine mountain raclette cheese or our blend of speciality swiss cheeses with wine and kirsch for the fondue,
